Krista A. Jahnke

Communications Manager

External Affairs and Communications

Krista A. Jahnke is a communications manager at The Kresge Foundation.

Jahnke leads the digital team inside the External Affairs and Communications department and co-chairs the AI Steering Committee. She joined Kresge in 2015 and has previously served as a communications officer with Kresge’s Social Investment Practice and Education Program. Prior to joining Kresge, she served as senior communications officer at the Detroit-based Skillman Foundation.

Before working in philanthropy, Jahnke was a journalist and digital editor at Detroit Free Press. Jahnke earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University and a credential in Social Impact Storytelling from Georgetown University. Jahnke serves on the board of directors for The Communications Network and helps lead ComNetwork Detroit, a community of nonprofit and foundation communication professionals across the Detroit region. She’s a published short story writer and a graduate of Leadership Detroit.
