Kaniqua Welch Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Strengthening our relationship with disability-led and disability-serving nonprofits is vital to Kresge’s equity journey. In May 2021, The Kresge Foundation signed the Disability Inclusion Pledge to deepen our collective understanding of disability justice and inclusion. Our goal when signing the pledge was to signal to the 61 million people with disabilities in the U.S. that we are committed to expanding inclusion beyond the minimum legal requirements and embedding an inclusive and justice-oriented framework into our culture. Join us as we host a Disability Outreach Virtual Town Hall webinar to share information about Kresge’s funding priorities and application processes, and how they align with disability inclusion. This Virtual Town Hall will be led by Kresge’s Disability Inclusion Fellow Georgia Carr and will feature representatives from our Detroit, Education, Health and Human Services teams. Each program staff member will discuss their team’s work, goals and grantmaking process. The event will conclude with a Q&A. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and closed captions will be provided. The session will be recorded and published for those who cannot attend. Date & Time: February 16, 1:00-2:15 p.m. EST Speakers: Samuel Turner, Program Officer, Detroit Bill Moses, Managing Director, Education Stacey Barbas, Sr. Program Officer, Health Gena Lewis, Sr. Fellow, Human Services Watch the Recording: Disability Outreach Virtual Town Hall +++ Resources: Watch the Disability Justice Webinar: Unlearning Ableism Download the Disability Inclusion Resource Guide
