Some of our funding opportunities are open to any grant seeker and others are by invitation only.
Open funding opportunities are listed on our Current Funding Opportunities page. If there are no funding opportunities listed on the page, it means none is currently available. Signing up for our weekly newsletter or following @kresgefdn on Twitter are the best ways to find out about new open funding opportunities.

Program officers determine the reporting requirements for grants, often in consultation with the organization receiving the funding. These requirements are explained in the section of the grant agreement titled “Reporting.” In most cases, grant reports include a narrative update and financial report, both generally due at annual intervals during the grant period.
Program officers manage a large quantity of grants and receive many reports, but we are committed to reading and responding to them in a timely manner. Program officers will, in most cases, follow up to inform grantees when a report is approved. You can also check your report status in Fluxx.
We know that social change work is complex, and things can change during the grant period, e.g., key staff leave, the work takes longer than expected, budget reallocations may be needed. If you would like to discuss any potential changes to key details related to your grant, please review the Grant Agreement for guidelines, and contact your program officer at any time.
We value staying in touch with you throughout the life of your grant. As your grant comes to a close, feel free to reach out to your program officer to begin a conversation about how the work went and what is new and upcoming with your organization. Send us an email or call us to set up time to talk.
