NeighborWorks offers resources, peer reflections on investing in creative community development

Arts & Culture

NeighborWorks America believes art, culture and creative expression are key components of comprehensive community development. In a recent blog, NeighborWorks’ Vice President of Community Initiatives Paul Singh affirms, “Many network organizations are undertaking arts and culture-based efforts in order to engage residents, build community, create awareness, forge partnerships, beautify public spaces, honor history and culture, revitalize neighborhoods, promote economic growth and lift up voices that often are not heard.”

With funding support from Kresge’s Arts & Culture Program, the organization has strategically invested in creative community development for more than seven years within its network of nearly 250 nonprofits. Throughout this time, NeighborWorks has developed a suite of key learning resources and reflections from peer conversations.
