“The Book of Melba” is a Kresge-produced monograph on the life and works of 2023 Kresge Eminent Artist Melba Joyce Boyd. An award-winning poet, essayist, biographer, editor, distinguished professor and filmmaker, Boyd is the 15th metro Detroit artist to receive the annual award in recognition of lifelong professional achievements in an art form, contributions to the cultural community and dedication to Detroit and its residents.
