Increasing the Enrollment, Retention, and Success of Men of Color in Community Colleges

Over the last decade, two-year institutions have seen a steep decline in student enrollment rates, which has been exacerbated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The decline in enrollment is especially significant among men of color.

In response to the issues that complicate the enrollment, retention, and success of men of color, the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and The Community College Equity Assessment Lab (CCEAL) published a brief that explores underlying factors driving these trends, as well as successful strategies to best support men of color that are already working in the field.
