Green 2.0 2020 NGO & Foundation Transparency Report Card

Environment

Green 2.0, an independent advocacy nonprofit created to increase racial and ethnic diversity within the environmental movement, has released its new 2020 NGO & Foundation Transparency Report Card. The report presents data collected from 40 of the largest and most influential nonprofit organizations and foundations, including the number of women and people of color who hold full-time, senior staff and board positions. A recent Inside Philanthropy article calls out the major green funders who ignore the survey and do not share their diversity data. Kresge was one of the initial funders and advocates for Green 2.0 and has shown progress in race diversity at all levels over four years (2017-2020): +9.8% board, +20% senior staff and +12% full-time staff improvements.
