CCHE network partner wins to advance climate resilience and health equity

Environment, Health

Through the Climate Change, Health & Equity initiative (CCHE), The Kresge Foundation aims to build capacity in the health care and public health sectors to promote health equity and climate resilience in their operations and practices, mobilize health care and public health practitioner engagement in climate advocacy and strengthen community-based leadership to advance local and regional climate and health policy.

In a February 2024 memo, CCHE evaluation partners Ross Strategic highlight network partner wins during the 5-year initiative.

These wins demonstrate a range of accomplishments in mobilizing for climate action in ways that center climate justice and equity, including:

  • Increasing knowledge and understanding of climate change, health and equity issues
  • Building capacity for policy advocacy
  • Promoting implementation of and/or funding for climate change, health and equity solutions
  • Advocating for adoption and implementation of equitable climate resilience policies
  • Improving data availability, translation and dissemination
  • Broadening and deepening partnerships and collaboration
