For more than a decade, The Kresge Foundation has partnered with Inyathelo, the South African Institute of Advancement, to help develop and bolster the private fundraising efforts of South African universities. Over the duration of this partnership a number of higher education institutions have successfully forged relationships with major donors, attracted resources to build state-of-the-art facilities, funded scholarships and conducted ground-breaking research.

To commemorate Inyathelo’s 20th year, Kresge President and CEO Rip Rapson offers reflections on the years of collaboration and remarkable accomplishments of the organization in its 2023 annual report. Rapson’s remarks “Reflecting on years of collaboration” is featured on page 14.
