Christine Jacobs

External Affairs and Communications

Christine Jacobs is the deputy director for external affairs and communications at The Kresge Foundation. She provides strategic communications, media relations and marketing support to the foundation’s programs and practices.

Prior to joining Kresge, Christine was communications director for the Governance Studies Program at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., where she led strategic communications and media relations efforts for the think tank’s domestic policy research program and centers. Previously, she was an account supervisor with Edelman Public Relations, where she focused on financial communications and investor relations. She also has worked for President Obama’s 2008 campaign in Michigan, the American Bar Association and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Public Affairs.

A native of Michigan, Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the Medill School of Journalism, Media and Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University.
