In 2019, the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) conducted a Grantee Perception Report (GPR) among Kresge’s grantees that were active in 2018.  Many foundations commission CEP to gather actionable feedback from grantees and declined applicants to promote transparency within their organizations and throughout the philanthropic sector. In response to the results, we established 10 foundation-wide resolutions for us to incorporate in our everyday grantmaking work. The analysis and resolutions were grounded in feedback from both our grantees and Program teams. Our hope is that this process of reflection will help us recommit to continuously strengthening our work, our grantees, local communities and the people we serve.
