Richard Tagle

President and Executive Director

E3 Alliance

Richard Tagle is the President and CEO of E3 Alliance, a cradle to career network based in Central Texas working through data and collaboration so all students succeed. Prior to this, he was the Ceo of the Denver Public Schools Foundation, where private investments were aligned with district priority initiatives and strategies to improve school performance.

He also served as President and CEO of Andy Roddick Foundation, High Think, and Higher Achievement, all focused on school community partnerships to ensure student success. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, he was on track to become an investment banker until he was exposed to nongovernmental organization work through an elective class in college and was hooked ever since on how the nonprofit sector can have a deep and great impact on community and public life. He shifted majors to public policy and often calls himself an “accidental sociologist.”

He has served on the boards of National Summer Learning Association, Grantmakers for Education, Nonprofit Roundtable, and now serves on the boards of College Possible and Horizons National. He graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Applied Sociology/Public Policy, both from American University in Washington, DC.
