In September 2024, the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) of Southeast Michigan approved the takeover of Detroit’s QLINE streetcar system, securing the long-term viability of the system.

The historic achievement brings the QLINE under a public transit authority, as was envisioned by the M-1 Rail board and team from the inception of this landmark project more than a decade ago.

This report marks the M-1 Rail’s final annual report as it transfers its operations and assets to the RTA on October 1, 2024.
