How can nonprofit or social sector communications professionals incorporate their organization’s values around diversity, equity and inclusion into their work? That’s the question The Communications Network explored when it shared a DEI toolkit for the field in 2020. Kresge’s External Affairs and Communications team used the toolkit to assess its work and identify places to improve and ensure its communications products reflect the foundation’s commitment to equity and justice. In a new Communications Network case study, Kresge’s communications officers Kaniqua Welch and Krista Jahnke outline their key takeaways from that process.
