Billed as a “Guidebook to Stimulate Discussion and Action,” this publication of the Institute on Assets and Social Policy and the National Human Services Assembly outlines key approaches to asset development and work in that field by U.S. human services agencies. Among other topics, the publication is intended to familiarize readers with key terms, programs, services and organizations in the field; show how asset-building has been integrated into various organizations and networks; identify the asset-building needs of different populations; describe partnerships and collaborations that facilitate this work; and identify potential funding sources for this work.
