Grounded in equity and justice, NextGen partners recognize and work to dismantle historical and structural inequities embedded in policies, practices and institutions that have excluded communities from opportunity and create barriers to economic success and well-being.

Partners center the strengths, aspirations, lived expertise and power of families and communities most affected by these inequities. They examine who benefits, who bears burdens, who has access to opportunity and who has historically been excluded from decisions—and work alongside families and communities to shift power, remove barriers and shape more equitable systems and solutions. 

NextGen partners embrace strengths-based, person- and family-centered approaches and recognize that family well-being is interconnected across generations. They use data, evidence and community knowledge to learn and adapt, strengthen organizational and systems capacity, and advance policies and practices that expand economic opportunity and support families in achieving their goals across generations. 

Through learning programs, learning and action communities, demonstrations, pilots, technical assistance and other opportunities, partners test new approaches, build knowledge and translate learning into lasting change.
