Sarah Traxler is the executive assistant to the president at The Kresge Foundation. Sarah provides multi-faceted support to the President and CEO and to members of the executive team, while facilitating relationships with Kresge staff and foundation partners.

Sarah joined the foundation in 2023. Previously, she served as economic development coordinator at the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), where she was involved with coordinating and administering the regional planning agency’s work funded by the United States Economic Development Administration.

Sarah also spent several years as a community planning consultant at McKenna, where she provided comprehensive planning, zoning and community and economic development professional services to local units of government throughout the Midwest.

A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.
