Richard Yang

Richard Yang (he/him) is the senior accountant and tax specialist at The Kresge Foundation. He supports the assistant controller and controller with tax and accounting functions, including collecting tax documents, reviewing tax returns and preparing tax reports. He joined the foundation in 2024.

Previously, Richard held a position at Cohen & Company in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, where he was a senior tax accountant where he filed federal, state, and local tax returns and assisted in tax research for clients.

A native of Metro Detroit, Richard received his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Wayne State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
