Randal Brown

Randal Brown is the associate general counsel at The Kresge Foundation. He supports the general counsel in managing the overall legal affairs of the foundation and he joined Kresge in 2023.

Previously, Randal served as deputy chief administrative and compliance officer/general counsel at the Great Lakes Water Authority in Southeast Michigan. He has also held the position of deputy corporation counsel at Wayne County (Michigan) and started his legal career at the Plunkett Cooney law firm.

A native of Ellicott City, Maryland, he earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Delaware and a law degree from Howard University School of Law.

He serves on the board of the Rose Hill Center and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Government Law Council. He is a member of the Wolverine Bar Association, previously serving as a board member and president of the association and its foundation.
