Kat Sisler is a program officer on the Environment Team at The Kresge Foundation. She supports Kresge’s Climate Change, Health & Equity (CCHE) initiative focused on climate justice and health equity in cities across the U.S. Kat also supports the program’s broader grantmaking strategy to help cities combat and adapt to climate change while advancing racial and economic justice. She joined the foundation in 2025.   

Previously, Kat was a health scientist and evaluator at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she supported climate adaptation and resilience in public health systems through the CDC’s flagship Climate Ready States and Cities Initiative. She was also a leading contributor to the revised Building Resilience Against Climate Effects (BRACE) framework.  

She serves on the Never Too Young Taskforce for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, and has also held positions with nonprofits LIVESTRONG, CATCH Global Foundation, and Good Apple.  

Originally from Texas, she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to complete a master’s in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center and a master’s in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
