Jon D. Gentry is the incoming vice president and chief investment officer at The Kresge Foundation, effective September 2026. In this role, he leads the foundation’s Investment Office and oversees the management of Kresge’s endowment. He is responsible for guiding the foundation’s investment strategy and ensuring the long-term stewardship of assets that support Kresge’s mission.
Jon joined Kresge in 2005. As a longtime leader within Kresge’s Investment Office, he has played a key role in the development and execution of the foundation’s investment strategy and has helped guide the evolution of its investment program over the last two decades.
Prior to joining Kresge, Jon oversaw the public equity portfolio at the University of Notre Dame for 15 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
