Heather Koziara

Heather Koziara is director of risk and operations for the Investment Office at The Kresge Foundation. Heather supports the Investment Office with financial matters, reporting, risk management and internal controls. She joined the foundation in 2022, after serving as an independent consultant to Kresge and other clients in the areas of investment risk management and operations.

Previously, Heather was the chief risk officer for Conifer Holdings Inc., a publicly traded insurance company in Birmingham, Michigan. She has also held positions related to risk management, internal controls and internal audit at Delphi, Chrysler, Amerisure, and other leading organizations during her career.

Heather graduated from Walsh College with a Master of Science in finance and from Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration.
