Emily Bertsche

Emily Bertsche is an investment director at The Kresge Foundation. Emily is focused on the public market portfolio, which includes investments in public equity, diversified strategies and credit. She joined the foundation in 2024. 

Previously, Emily served as the director of growth assets for the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust. In this role, she oversaw the private and public equity portfolio for the nation’s largest non-governmental purchaser of healthcare benefits.  

Born and raised in Chicago, Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in the science of foreign service from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
