Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email The Kresge Foundation this summer will adopt a new grants management software system that will modernize its grantmaking and grant disbursement processes while enhancing communication with grantees. The new online platform, called Fluxx (www.fluxx.io), will streamline the grantee application submission process while also simplifying the foundation’s grant review, assessment and disbursement procedures. It will enable new grant seekers and current grantees to apply for grants, submit information and access real-time status updates from the foundation. “We’re particularly excited about the simple interface, ease-of-use and enhanced communication capabilities Fluxx will provide both grant seekers and our internal staff,” said Marcus McGrew, Kresge’s director of grants management. He said the foundation was introduced to the Fluxx platform in early 2014 and has been preparing for the conversion for about nine months. In the final stage of transition, Kresge will cease operating its current grant application system at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, July 10, and launch its Fluxx portal on Wednesday, July 29. To facilitate the complete conversion of the grants management system, Kresge is unable to accept grant applications or supporting documents between July 11 and July 28. Grant seekers who submitted prior applications should contact the appropriate program department with questions about their request during the transition period. During the week of July 20, active Kresge grantees will receive instructions to register for portal access as well as tips and resources to use the new site when it becomes active later in the month.
