Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Kresge Foundation President and CEO Rip Rapson’s annual holiday message to subscribers of news from the foundation stresses “reaffirming the values that inspire our own work and that of our partners across the country” and the foundation’s “commitment to America’s cities.” The message, sent in the foundation’s Dec. 29, 2016 newsletter, expresses hope the nation can leave behind the polarization and rancor of the 2016 presidential campaign, but acknowledges the possibility that won’t happen. With that in mind, Rapson reiterates the “values that will guide our responses to the newly emerging landscape,” including commitment to the common good and respect for all people. Rapson also emphasizes that by working in America’s cities, “Kresge can most effectively build on our values and expand opportunity for those with low incomes across the country.” In addition, the message links to a video of 2016 highlights at the foundation.
