Last week, Kresge President and CEO Rip Rapson sent this New Year’s greeting to foundation grantees, fellow funders and other partners:

As 2015 comes to a close here at The Kresge Foundation, we’ve been looking back, as no doubt you have as well.

Our External Affairs and Communications department crafted a video to help us reflect on a year of growth with new staff, new tools, new endeavors and an expansion of our headquarters to support our work. But when we viewed the video at a recent staff meeting, we were struck by how much this is also a video about you – our grantees, our fellow funders, our partners in numerous senses of the word. In each Kresge program and practice area, what we learned with you – and from you – gave richness and depth to our work. You inspire us.

The challenges to expanding opportunity in America’s cities remain daunting. With partners like you, we look forward to tackling them again in 2016.
