As the membership organization for city, county, and local health departments, NACCHO hosts an annual conference which draws thousands of local and federal health officials and other public health partners. This year’s conference will be held in Detroit. This grant will support a journalism fellowship program at the Association of Healthcare Journalists that gives scholarships to 10 journalists each year for two years, with a focus on Black, Indigenous and other journalists of color in Detroit, Memphis, New Orleans and Fresno.
