This project grant will support The Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice (CREEJ) in working with residents in the Jefferson-Chalmers area to find sustainable solutions and assistance to correct the raw sewage and flooding issues they experience due to infrastructure failure and climate. This work will use a resident-centered approach to assessing past infrastructure challenges and build relationships across local, state, and federal agencies to survey relevant funding through the Infrastructure Bill and other initiatives to pay for repairs.
