The organization, also known as WhyHunger, is a leading advocate for community-based solutions to alleviate hunger and poverty, and operates a variety of national programs to increase the availability of affordable healthy food. This two-year grant is being used to help regional coalitions in southeastern Arizona and the Mississippi Delta implement plans to eliminate “food deserts” and to expand this model to other areas.
