The university’s Graduate School of Education houses the Center for Minority Serving Institutions, which conducts research, convenes scholars, improves leadership practices and promotes collaborative efforts to support minority-serving institutions and their students. This three-year grant will launch the Center’s Aspiring Minority Serving Institutions Leaders Forum, which will enable 60 mid-career professionals to participate in development opportunities that will help prepare them to lead colleges that serve large numbers of low-income and students of color.  Every two years, the Center will plan and host a three-day forum that convenes experienced MSI leaders and 30 mid-career administrators from the education, nonprofit and business sectors.
