This 2-year grant for project support allows New Jersey Future’s (NJF), through its Sewage-Free Streets and Rivers campaign, build the capacity of low-income residents and small business owners to shape the array of solutions offered in New Jersey communities for long-term planning to reduce localized flooding. Funding will advance climate resilient and equitable planning and address the state’s aging water infrastructure through several mutually reinforcing initiatives.  This work aligns with the Environment Team’s Climate Resilient and Equitable Water Systems (CREWS) Initiative focused on innovation to advance green storm water infrastructure as a climate adaptation solution for cities experiencing climate driven urban flooding.
