The trust works with financial institutions and local housing providers to reclaim and stabilize neighborhoods hit hard by foreclosure and abandonment. Through this two-year grant, it is assisting Detroit government agencies and local nonprofits with the acquisition and renovation or demolition of foreclosed and abandoned properties, as part of a citywide effort to eliminate blight and revitalize residential areas.
