The National Civil Rights Museum is located at the former Lorraine Motel, where civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. This grant supports the MLK50 Symposium, a two-day conference to be held at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis.  The symposium will be the largest and culminating event of MLK50, a yearlong commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s assassination in Memphis.
