Mobile Medical Care’s network of clinic sites and mobile medical units offers free or discounted quality health care to low-income, working-poor, and homeless individuals in the middle and lower region of Montgomery County. This two-year grant from the Health Clinic Opportunity Fund supports operations for a new up-county clinic at Shady Grove Adventist Germantown Emergency Center. The fund is designed to bridge, build, and sustain the operations of high-performing community health centers serving diverse and vulnerable populations. It targeted free clinics, public health clinics, and designated federally qualified health center look-alikes to meet both the immediate and long-term health needs of their constituents. Priority was given to projects that leverage existing resources, create more effective operating systems, improve efficiencies, and expand and maintain access to health services for vulnerable populations.
