The network seeks to increase college readiness, participation and completion rates in Michigan, particularly among low-income, first-generation and minority students. The Detroit College Access Network's mission is to increase post-secondary readiness, enrollment, and attainment so that all students in Detroit can achieve their educational dreams. This three-year grant supports the Detroit College Access Network's primary strategic initiatives: increasing student access to high quality college counseling, increasing Detroit college enrollment, and increasing the percentage of Detroit students ready for college (as measured by ACT/SAT scores and GPA).
