The institute seeks to improve energy efficiency in the built environment through research, education, policy change, program initiatives and building-code regulations. This three-year grant funds Phase II of the City Energy Project, a national initiative designed to improve the health, prosperity and resilience of American cities by improving the energy performance of their existing building stocks.
