Expanding opportunities in America’s cities

Inner-City Muslim Action Network

Chicago, Illinois

This two-year grant, a cross-team endeavor between the Arts & Culture and Health programs as part of the Fresh, Local and Equitable Initiative (FreshLo), will connect Inner-City Muslim Action Network’s efforts to the broader 63rd Street Corridor strategy, a $50-million investment in retail and economic activities over 10-years. The project will transform a vacant building and lot into the Healthy Marketplace, a corner store and community hub in Chicago’s Engelwood neighborhood.
