Founded in 1972 through a gift to the United States from Germany, the nonpartisan public-policy and grantmaking institution promotes greater cooperation and understanding between North America and Europe. This three-year grant enables U.S. leaders from cities including Detroit to participate in the Comparative Domestic Policy program. It establishes Detroit as a participating city in the Marshall Memorial Fellowship program.
