Expanding opportunities in America’s cities

Over the past 20 years, the culinary job training and placement program for individuals who are disadvantaged and may be experiencing homelessness has empowered 6,500 people and served 5.5 million meals to needy men, women and children in the Seattle area. FareStart serves as an adviser to, and Model Member of, Catalyst Kitchens, which is using a three-year grant to expand its collaborative network of foodservice social enterprises, launch new programs, ramp up its training and secure corporate sponsors and contracts.
