The center is devoted to promoting the housing rights of New Jersey’s low-income residents through enforcement of court rulings prohibiting economic discrimination requiring towns to provide adequate affordable housing. This two-year grants supports the center’s work in collaboration with the Furman Center at New York University to identify and analyze housing stock nationally at risk of flooding and work with federal agencies to adjust mechanisms used to allocate post-disaster recovery funding to ensure equitable distribution of those funds.
