The office is the principal agency that leads planning, preservation and revitalization initiatives in District of Columbia neighborhoods. It is using a two-year grant to launch a series of resident-driven, cross-disciplinary creative placemaking projects that promote community building and increase engagement and connectivity in neighborhoods experiencing rapid demographic and social changes.
