Designing Justice + Designing Spaces is an architecture and real estate development nonprofit working to end mass incarceration by building infrastructure that addresses its root causes: poverty, racism, unequal access to resources, and the criminal justice system itself. This cross-team operating grant will deepen Creative Placemaking efforts in justice-impacted neighborhoods in Atlanta; Detroit; Jackson, MS; Oakland; and Beaumont, TX, through design methodologies like role play, model-making and rapid prototyping.
