Uninsured and underinsured residents and patients with chronic health conditions receive medical and dental care along with pharmaceutical services at the only safety-net provider in rural Davidson County. This two-year grant from the Health Clinic Opportunity Fund enables the clinic to maintain its current services and level of operations while accommodating additional clients who seek care. The fund is designed to bridge, build, and sustain the operations of high-performing community health centers serving diverse and vulnerable populations. It targeted free clinics, public health clinics, and designated federally qualified health center look-alikes to meet both the immediate and long-term health needs of their constituents. Priority was given to projects that leverage existing resources, create more effective operating systems, improve efficiencies, and expand and maintain access to health services for vulnerable populations.
