Washington, D.C.
$75,000

2018

The Council for a Strong America (CSA) focuses on building broad-based, bipartisan support among moderates and conservatives for research-based social, educational, and health-related programs and policies. This grant supports policy and advocacy activities for a network of "unexpected messengers" who will champion investment in community college student success as critical to Michigan’s future. These “unexpected messengers” include business leaders, retired admirals and generals, law enforcement leaders, pastors, athletes and coaches to reach constituencies that are not typically receptive to expanding supports and services for disadvantaged populations.
