The organization’s efforts to promote social-service innovation include the City Project, which uses land-use planning strategies, policy and legal research and community organizing to address environmental disparities and to increase access to natural places for urban communities. Community Partners’ Los Angeles Food Policy Council is using this three-year grant to implement the Good Food Purchasing Policy program, which promotes local economies, environmental sustainability, valued workforce, animal welfare and nutrition to improve regional food systems.
