We are a private, national foundation that works to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grantmaking and social investing in arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services and community development in Detroit.
College for All Texans Foundation is the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s non‐profit support organization. This two-year grant will support Phase II of the Texas Affordable Baccalaureate (TAB) program. Developed in partnership with employers and higher education institutions, TAB is designed to use competency-based education methods to reduce both the cost and time required to complete a high-quality bachelor’s degree. Competency-based educational methods move away from seat time and replace it with a more flexible structure allowing students to progress as they demonstrate academic mastery of specific topics, whatever the time, place or pace of learning.
