The national center, formed by the Genesee Institute and the National Vacant Properties Campaign, promotes policy, research and technical assistance to help communities reduce blight from vacant, abandoned and underutilized properties. Five months of funding supported a diamond sponsorship for the Center for Community Progress' sixth national Reclaiming Vacant Properties conference in Detroit.
