The national center promotes policy, research and technical assistance to help communities reduce blight from vacant, abandoned and underutilized properties. This joint two-year grant from Kresge’s Detroit and Arts & Culture program teams enables the center to accelerate and scale the adoption of blight-elimination and neighborhood-stabilization strategies in Detroit and New Orleans, and to promote these two communities as national models for land-use reform.
