The new national center, formed by the Genesee Institute and the National Vacant Properties Campaign, promotes policy, research and technical assistance to help communities reduce blight from vacant, abandoned and underutilized properties. This grant supports the center’s startup operations and enables Detroit’s community development leaders to attend the national Reclaiming Vacant Properties conference.
