Expanding opportunities in America’s cities

American Assembly

New York, New York

Established in 1950 by Dwight D. Eisenhower as an affiliate of Columbia University, the nonpartisan, public-affairs forum illuminates important national policy issues and formulates innovative solutions to complex problems. This grant provided funding for the 110th assembly, held in Detroit in April 2011, which focused on strategic responses to the challenges facing cities with population loss.
